standing up to get people to laugh their way to an early diagnosis,

- hey, are they any sick Tibetians in the room? See, it works!
As an exec in the Hollywood scene, Devorah Cutler-Rubenstein was
most recently executive producer of THE SUBSTITUTE, a 15 million

board as Exec Producer for HBO's SUBSTITUTE 2, starring Treat
Williams, which took the number 1 spot for its time slot.
Most recently, Cutler-Rubenstein directed and co-produced
NOT AFRAID TO LAUGH with Emmy Award winning producer Roberta Cantow.
The thirteen-minute short chronicles Devorah's odyssey to use
humor to heal herself, and is being marketed to doctor's offices
nationally to help empower recently diagnosed patients and their
families. As a breast cancer survivor, Devorah is a much sought
after speaker and comedian and has spoken to such organizations
as the American Cancer Society, Cedars Sinai Medical Center, The
Department of Motor Vehicles, the 4th Women Filmmaker's Symposium
and standing in line at Savon to get drugs - no, unfortunately
not those kind.
As part of Chanticleer Films prestigious Discovery Program, Devorah
was chosen to direct a short film which aired on Showtime starring
Bill Forsythe. The film went on to win Best Short Film at the
Moondance International Film Festival 2000.
